- Remove shipping material and camera hardware from the boxes on the unit. Then, using the provided compass located in the lockbox, position the unit with the panel facing true south. Return the compass to the lockbox.
- Remove the cotter pins on each leg and extend until they can be reinstalled in the deployed position through holes.
- Using the jack cranks adjust jack heights until the entire unit is level—refer to the bubble level located at the base of the mast. Return the jack cranks to the battery cabinet for safe keeping.
- Remove the two foot bolts from the foot brackets and reinstall them in the rear through holes of the foot brackets for safe keeping. Remove both brace bolts from the shipping brace holes.
- Raise the panel and reinstall the brace bolts in the deployed brace holes.
- Remove the 4 bolts from the bottom of the camera mount. Center the plate of the camera mount on the top of the mast and return the bolts to secure the mount.

Mount your camera:
- For Sapphire Video-pan-tilt-zoom: Remove lid screw and base bolts to disassemble camera mount. Screw the base onto the camera plate being careful not to pinch the ethernet cable. Return the cap to its base.
- For Sapphire Static: Secure camera around pole with the provided band clamps fed through the slits on either side of the camera plate.
- For Cobalt: Screw your camera into the knuckle at the top of your camera mount. Adjust the angle of the camera to face your jobsite.
- For Sapphire Video-pan-tilt-zoom: Remove lid screw and base bolts to disassemble camera mount. Screw the base onto the camera plate being careful not to pinch the ethernet cable. Return the cap to its base.
- Plug in your camera:
-
For Sapphire Series cameras only: Plug the camera ethernet cable and main power cable into the power box. Rest the cable of the camera loose on the ground so it doesn’t get pinched or tangled while raising the mast.
Ensure the system is on via the blue light on the bottom of the power box. Call your Customer Service rep to verify proper installation. Have the camera ID located on your camera ready for verification.
- For Cobalt camera: Plug camera cable into your main power source then, ensure your system is on via the blue light at the bottom of the camera.
-
- Flip the two breakers in the cabinet to the on position and ensure it is on via the blue light on the bottom of the power box. Call Customer Service to verify proper installation. Have the camera ID located on your camera ready for verification.
- Once function is confirmed, turn off breakers and unplug the ethernet cable from power box to prevent cable damage during mast deployment.
- Carefully separate braided cables of tether assemblies (being sure not to tangle or kink) then clip the carabiners on to the 4 eyelets of the mast.
- With the silver mast crank, extend the mast until the internal segments clear the lockout holes.
- Remove the mast locking pin keys from the lockbox on your mast. Unlock the mast locking pin.
- Insert the mast locking pin through the lockout hole, then lock the pin. Return the keys to the lockbox.
- To minimize cable load, crank the mast back down until the locking pin no longer moves.
- With turnbuckles of each tether assembly extended to their full capacity, fasten each to the anchor points on the jacks. Be sure each tether assembly is attached to the corresponding mast leg.
- Tighten each turnbuckle until tether assemblies are evenly taut. Do not over torque.
- Reinstall the ethernet cable to the power box. Flip breakers in the battery cabinet to the on position. Verify the blue light on the bottom of the power box is on.
- To tamper proof your system, ensure all cranks are strapped into the battery cabinet and all keys are in the lockbox. Zip-tie the camera cables in an orderly fashion off the ground to avoid disturbance.
